‘Girls Just Wanna’ was created to highlight the experience of women and non-binary people in the Scottish music industry. The collection was inspired by a clash of rebellious feminine spirit and traditional Scottish aesthetics and memorabilia. This rebellious DIY aesthetic is encapsulated in a dress made from a chainmail of guitar picks; inspired by front-women like Shirley Manson, Debbie Harry and Kathleen Hanna. Modelling the pieces are two  Scottish musicians, Hayley Drummond of ‘Pelican Tusk’ and Eilidh O’Brien of ‘Medicine Cabinet’. The shoot aims to convey the relentless avant-garde energy coming from Scotland right now.
